Ammonia-Urea Brownfield Project
8Cost: Rs. 16372Cr.
8Project Event: The project is advancing steadily, with overall completion now at 67.10% and the OSBL scope already 80.89% finished. Key civil and structural milestones have been met: the Coal Gasification Frame has reached the 5th of 7 floors, the UreaMainFrame stands at the 4th of 5 floors, the PrillingTower has risen to 106m of its 123m target, and formwork is under way at the 11m level for all six cells of the 17mtall UreaCoolingTower. Recognizing schedule pressure, PDIL has recommended a provisional extension to the LSTK contractor, WECL, and is issuing an addendum to the DFR to quantify any cost impacts. With major structures well advanced and proactive timeline and costmanagement measures in place, the project remains on a clear path toward the timely completion of the remaining works.
Phosphoric acid Expansion Project

8Project Event:Project activities are still on hold and are now expected to resume in Q32025. Because of internal matters, the RFQ for the LSTK contractor is also likely to be issued in Q32025.

It looks like one company has firmly got its grip on the small scale LNG market in India.
8The market can be vast.
8A lack of pipeline network and the proliferation of CBG plants could lead to a explosion in small LNG plants, provided costing is lower than imported LNG.
8Given that the competition is really imported gas, given India's demand supply gap, there is a massive market opportunity here as the cost of processing can be higher yet cheaper than imported LNG.
8With proprietary technology and equipment, the company seems to have hit a goldmine.
8This company, with great local help, was able to crack open the market, and now in India, since one has succeeded, intrepid middleman must rush to capitalize on such business opportunities.

Indian refiners are strong on risk that are involved in their plants. They know all hell will break loose if there is a high level incident
8So that they do diligently is to stay risk averse, or do de-risking exercises ever so often
8Here is on refiner who wants a risk scenario drawn up for more than 75 distinct units, including commissioned and under-construction blocks. Even offsites and utilities are to be mapped for individual and societal risk contours
8What is sought to be imposed is ALARP (As Low As Reasonably Practicable) compliance for each risk identified. Recommendations are not optional — the contractor is expected to demonstrate active risk mitigation across fire, toxicity, and explosion scenarios.
